Better tips to Extend the Life of Hearing Aids


Hearing aid is a device which is used for deaf peoples. It is the most common advanced hearing technology. But it has major flaw i.e they tend to burn through batteries at an alarming rate. As we know loosing hearing is increasing day by day in young generation due to many reason such as listening loud music, That’s why need for hearing technology is too extending.
When we have to use the piece of advanced technology then we have to also follows some tips for them like extending the life of our HEARING AID as there are plenty of things that you can do are as follows.

1. DEVICE CLEANING:
We should clean our device very carefully. We should clean the device by soft cloth like cotton. We need to clean both hearing aid and ear regularly. Handle your device carefully with dry hand while cleaning it.

2. CARE OF DEVICE BATTERY:
Wash your hand before changing the battery. Never use wet hand for cleaning device. Take time to dry your hand If you avoid the hand wash it can damage your device too as your hand contained dirt. If you don’t use your device whatever reason, take out battery.

3. DEHUMIDIFIER IN HEARING AID:
If you have dehumidifier then you no need to worry about air and moisture as condensation and moisture are the enemy of delicate electrical devices.You can easily store hearing aid in dehumidifier.
Warmth of your body causes the condensation to form inside the body of your hearing aid.

4. SOAKING:
   If your device isn’t certified as waterproof, you should take care of the thing that water and your device do not to mix. Get water in your device can damage it completely. Use umbrella and brimmed hat if your hearing is downpour protect.

5. USE OF DEVICE:
Remember one thing that remove your device before showering, swimming, raining etc. Because it can damage your Device’s battery.
Whenever you aren’t using your device purposely remove it from the ear and it will prevent corrosion due to battery leakage in storage.
6. SERVICE:
Have your audiologist service the hearing device at least once a year.
You should schedule a device cleaning with your local hearing health cares professional in every 5-6 month or immediately if you found something wrong.

7. PURCHASE WELL:
Hearing aid is expensive as we all know but the cost factor doesn’t stop here after they are paid for, either. Hearing aid batteries unopened in the packages can last long. Its always better to buy new hearing aid.
